Download-and-play shows for the 2510 Controller (Mania SCX500)

We are providing a series of pre-programmed shows for the 2510, starting with our new powerful scanner – the SCX 500. Shows can be downloaded using a new stand-alone download feature.

Based on the successful MC Showtime, we have created shows with slow, medium and fast movement, covering a wide range of atmospheres, moods and music styles with many possible combinations. The shows’ high degree of flexibility ensures that the lighting effects will always fit the music.

Shows are based on a minimum of 4 scanners, but they are even more effective with more fixtures. Shows are designed for an area of approx. 8x5 m (26x16 ft.), with a maximum hanging height of 4 m (13 ft.), based on 45° angles. Set-up is configured for mirror over center point – whether used on a straight T-bar, in squares, or in other configurations.

We have also created new preprogrammed shows for the MC Showtime configuration to be used on the 2510. These shows – which we call Showtime Universal – are designed for the MX-1, MX-4, CX-2, CX-4, Acrobat, Wizard/Wizard Extreme and Ego X4 DMX.

DMX addresses should be set as follows:

  • MX-1 or MX-4: 1,25/7-31/13,36/19,43
  • Acrobat: 49
  • CX-4: 55
  • Wizard: 61
  • CX-2: 69
  • Ego X4 DMX: 73
For best results, fixtures should be rigged in DMX pairs with the 2 fixtures in each pair directly opposite each other.

Shows are based on 30 sequences – 10 slow, 10 medium and 10 fast – allowing all-round use to cater for many different moods and atmospheres.

Shows are imported to the Martin 2510 controller via a new software application, the 2510 stand-alone, that can be downloaded here...

Installation is simple, and instructions are provided. After downloading the stand-alone, shows can be selected for download and stored.

Using the show playback possibilities as described in the 2510 user manual, different trig possibilities (manual, auto or music) can be used to match the light show to the mood, atmosphere and music beat. You can also tap your own beat.

A 3-pin XLR Martin reversed to 3-pin XLR standard DMX adapter ships with the 2510, starting August 2005.

Mania SCX500 Shows

Mania SCX500 MegaParty Shows (31 KB)

This package contains universal shows based on 10 slow, 40 medium and 10 fast sequences. It is a good all-round package covering a wide range of music from slow ballads to fast intense electronic and dance music.

1-10 Slow speed (15-60bpm) consist of relatively slow sequences, with smooth, flowing movement and a twist of intensity chase. These sequences are best suited to slow music.
11-20 Medium speed (75bpm) consist of moderately paced sequences, with both fast and slow movements. These sequences are suitable for most music.
21-30 Fast speed (120-150bpm) consist of relatively fast and dynamic sequences. These sequences work well with fast electronic and dance music.
31-60 Medium speed (60-80bpm) sequences offer well-planned color combinations, effective use of gobos and highly dynamic dimmer/shutter chases.

Mania SCX500 Funky Electronica Show (32 KB)

Funky Electronica shows, are based on 30 slow, 15 medium speed and 15 fast sequences.
This package contains programs that work well with Soul, Funk, R'n'B, House, Lounge music and electronic music like Trance, Techno and Goa.

1-15 Slow speed (18-75bpm) sequences feature slow movements and minimal use of color and gobos.
16-30 Slow speed (20-46bpm) consist of sequences with attractive funky color combinations and smooth movement.
31-45 Medium speed (37-150bpm) sequences are still funky, but offer slightly more speed and dimmer chases.
46-60 Fast speed (120-150bpm) sequences feature intense use of color, gobos and chases.

This package contains shows based on 40 slow, 25 medium and 25 fast sequences. It is a good all-round package covering a wide range of music from slow ballads over Soul, Funk and R'n'B to fast intense electronic and dance music.
